Earlier this year, the Polish National Tourist Office in London launched an online training programme to equip tour operators and travel industry professionals with an in-depth knowledge of Poland. The course includes practical information and advice on arranging a trip to Poland, as well as highlights the major tourist attractions in each of the 16 regions of Poland. Taking part in the course is free of charge, and the online format allows candidates to follow the course in their own time and at their own pace.

Bruce Martin, Operations Director of Online Travel Training, which created the course on behalf of the Polish National Tourist Office says, “We have been delighted with the response our users have had to the Visit Poland training course, with over 400 people completing the course with thousands more exposed to the brand via e-marketing. The Polish National Tourist Office has shown how important it is to use the internet engage with travel agents via branded, bite-sized training which is available 24/7 to complement existing marketing.”

As an added incentive to encourage tour operators to take part, the Polish National Tourist Office has arranged a series of prize-draws for candidates who successfully complete the course. Allan Ortiz of Emerald Travel was recently presented with a return flight to Warsaw. Speaking at the World Travel Market, he said, “I never expect that I am going to win anything for doing that training so I am very grateful. Now I will have a chance to see what Warsaw can offer to a tourist like myself and I will be able to share the experience with my clients.”
